WORK > SHIPPING LOSS (BYNER AND CASTILLE)

This is the second large-scale sculpture responding to Earnest Byner, 1980's running back for the Cleveland Browns. This piece is derived from the moment just before Jeremiah Castille strips the ball from Byner's hands in the 1987 AFC Championship game. Vernaculars of crate-building are employed to brace the collapsing space between two absent bodies.
